Immediate implant placement concepts: Crownguide and SSA (sealing
socket abutment)
Na de extractie van een tand gebeurt er steeds een bot remoddeling
waardoor het volume van de alveolaire kam in 3 dimensies afneemt.
Als een implant-gedragen kroon voor ogen wordt genomen als
tandvervanging, kan men door dit botverlies vaak moeilijkheden hebben
met de plaatsing van het implantaat.
Hierdoor zal het implant vaak bone-driven geplaatst worden met een niet
ideale, prothetische positie van het implant als gevolg. Hierdoor kunnen
er esthetische problemen ontstaan door een te hoge zenith of concave
alveole onder de implantaatkroon. Ook verlies van aangehechte gingiva,
voedselimpactie, duurdere componenten, minder ideale belasting (niet
axiaal) van het implant zijn enkele gevolgen.
Indien we in de anterieure, esthetische zone werken is er ook vaak de wens
tot immediate tandvervanging.
In deze lezing bekijken we de prothetische mogelijkheden om zoveel
mogelijk botremodellage tegen te gaan en zo botvolume te behouden in
samenwerking met goede planning met de plaatsing van het implantaat.
In de posterieure zone zullen we de focus leggen op het gebruik en de
toepassing van SSA’s.
In de anterieure zone wordt de crown-guide geïntroduceerd met
immediate tandvervanging.
